For its article “House GOP plans many investigations next year. Senate Democrats say they do too.,” The Washington Post quoted Akin Gump congressional investigations practice co-head Raphael Prober. The article discusses how GOP investigative priorities in the House and Democratic priorities in the Senate could find some companies being investigated by both sides on different matters.

Prober said that the possibility of these overlapping investigations has the potential “to give clients whiplash. They might be testifying on an issue on one side of the Capitol, and then the next day or even that same day have to testify on that exact same issue with a different vantage point on the other side of the Capitol. And that can be a very difficult line to walk.”
