Abid Qureshi Named to Crain’s New York Business’ “Notable Asian Leaders” List

(New York) – Akin Gump financial restructuring partner and partner in charge of the New York Office Abid Qureshi has been named to Crain’s New York Business’ “Notable Asian Leaders” list for 2022.
Mr. Qureshi was cited as “a critical component of the law firm’s financial restructuring practice.” He also “specializes in high-stakes and high-profile reorganization”, the publication said, “and directs the office’s growth.” He is also noted for leading teams in the reorganization of Aeroméxico and Intelsat, among others.
Crain’s highlighted Mr. Qureshi’s roles as president of the U.N. Association of New York, a nonprofit educational organization that supports the principles and work of the United Nations as well as his involvement on the board of Freedom United, a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating human trafficking and modern-day slavery.
Crain’s says that it spotlighted those “who have demonstrated the ability to power change in their industry or their broader communities.”
