Akin Expands Leading Private Equity Transactions Practice with Addition of Partner Elina Alperovich

(New York) – Akin is pleased to announce that Elina Alperovich has joined the firm as a private equity transactions partner in New York, further expanding the firm’s top-tier private equity capabilities.
Alperovich brings extensive experience advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, minority and growth investments, joint ventures, carve-outs and divestitures, restructurings, SPACs and de-SPACs, and investments in general partners. She has steered complex transactions and investments across a variety of industries, including healthcare, business services, financial services, asset management, insurance, consumer products, entertainment, technology, infrastructure and energy.

Alperovich was previously transaction counsel at Apollo Global Management and is a veteran of Kirkland & Ellis, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Greenberg Traurig, where she was a shareholder.
Alperovich is the latest addition to the firm’s corporate practice over the last year, with Akin having added private capital partner Payson Lyman in Boston; private equity partner Andrew Lehman, energy transactions partners Trent Bridges and Ian Goldberg, and capital markets partner Bryan Flannery in Houston; private credit partners Bill Brady and Scott Colton and real estate partner Avi Feinberg in New York; a three-partner technology transactions team in London with Justin Stock joining as head of the firm’s international technology practice, along with Stephen Rosen and David Bresnick; energy partner Rob Butler in London; and projects & energy transition partner April Kim in California.
