(London) – Akin Gump has advised Alpha Bank S.A. on its successful strategic partnership with payments specialist Nexi S.p.A. (Nexi), which completed on June 30. The partnership has resulted in the creation of “Nexi Payments Greece,” which will provide innovative merchant solutions and digital payment acceptance products and services to the Greek market.
The joint venture between Alpha Bank and Nexi will encourage the uptake of digital payment services in Greece by upgrading payment technologies for merchants and businesses. Nexi Payments Greece aspires to bring the country a step closer to digital transformation and a cashless payments culture.
