Akin Gump Advises Angelo, Gordon in Sale of Kings Super Markets

(New York) – Castle Harlan, a New York private equity investment firm, announced that it initiated and spearheaded the acquisition of Kings Super Markets and Balducci’s Food Lover’s Markets, by KB Holding, Inc., a Delaware-based investment firm affiliated with GSSG Capital. Kings and Balducci's were acquired from Angelo, Gordon & Co., which was advised on the deal by Akin Gump. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Akin Gump team advising Angelo, Gordon was led by corporate partner David D’Urso. He was joined by counsel John Howell and associate Charlie Hely.
