Akin Gump Advises Vitol in Sale of RNG Assets to Amp Americas
Contact:
(Houston) – Vitol Green Gas LLC has completed a sale of a group of renewable natural gas (RNG) projects in Idaho to Amp Americas II, LLC, a company converting dairy waste into carbon-negative renewable transportation fuel and power. Vitol Green Gas is an affiliate of Vitol, one of the world’s largest independent traders of energy and related commodities. A team from Akin Gump represented Vitol Green Gas in the transaction.
The Idaho projects consist of three digesters at two gas processing plants and one electric power generation plant that capture methane from over 940,000 gallons of dairy waste per day generated by 36,000 cows across three dairies. The projects then purify and process this methane into carbon-negative renewable transportation fuel and power.
