Akin Gump Ranked Among Top 10 U.S. Corporate Law Firms

(New York) – Akin Gump has again been named among “America’s Best Corporate Law Firms” by NYSE Governance Services, publisher of Corporate Board Member magazine, and FTI Consulting, Inc. This year, the firm was noted for having “jumped considerably” into the number 10 spot in the ranking of top firms as selected by corporate directors. It is the 14th year out of the ranking’s 15-year history that Akin Gump has been named to the list.
“America’s Best Corporate Law Firms” is a comprehensive ranking of the top corporate law firms, based on the views of more than 500 participating U.S. corporate directors and general counsel of publicly traded companies.
NYSE Governance Services’ president was quoted in a release about the ranking, noting that “Boards and general counsel have increasingly stressed the advisory role of corporate law firms as invaluable legal resources to public companies.” According to an FTI executive who was also quoted, the firms listed are recognized “for the outstanding service they deliver and the reputations they have established.”
