Akin Gump’s John Burke Named to The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Lawyers List

John Burke, who heads the firm’s entertainment and media practice, has once again been named to The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Lawyers list. The list highlights the 100 most influential entertainment attorneys in the United States. In selecting Mr. Burke, who has appeared on the list each of the six years of its existence, the publication noted that he “brokered some of the biggest movie finance deals of the year.”
Mr. Burke, who is resident in Akin Gump’s Los Angeles – Century City office, focuses his practice on media finance, with an emphasis on motion picture transactions. The group he leads was nominated as Best Media Group of 2012 by Chambers USA.
