Akin Gump Team Scores $20 Million Verdict in Patent Infringement Case

(Philadelphia) – Yesterday, following a week-long trial, a Delaware federal jury awarded Boston Scientific Corp. $20 million, finding that Nevro Corp. willfully infringed multiple Boston Scientific patent claims covering spinal cord therapy technology. A team from Akin Gump led the representation of Boston Scientific in the case.
The verdict is the culmination of nearly five years of litigation related to leads used in spinal cord stimulation systems for treating chronic pain. A copy of the verdict may be found here.
