(Washington, D.C.) – The Washington Post, in its annual Post 200 “guide to the region’s top businesses,” has ranked Akin Gump as the top lobbying firm in the Washington, D.C. region, as measured both by lobbying revenue and number of lobbyists.

The firm also appeared at no. 4 in the paper’s ranking of law firms by global attorneys and at no. 10 by number of local attorneys.

Among the reasons for Akin Gump’s ascent to the no. 1 lobbying position, the Post cites the firm’s hiring earlier this year of a group of health policy practitioners led by John Jonas (click here to read more).

In 2014, Akin Gump became the largest lobbying firm in the United States by revenue. To read more about this, please click here.

Founded in 1945, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
