(New York) – Akin is pleased to announce that Bill Brady has joined the firm’s special situations & private credit practice as a partner in New York, adding globally recognized experience advising private credit lenders deploying capital in today’s fast-evolving financial markets. He joins from Paul Hastings, where he was head of the alternative lender and private credit group.
Akin’s market-leading credit practice has long been recognized for its experience advising asset managers on their most cutting-edge credit-oriented transactions, including private credit transactions, special situation financings, out of court rescue financings, liability management transactions and restructuring financings. Brady adds elite depth to the performing side of the private credit spectrum, reinforcing the firm’s position as a global ‘one-stop shop’ advising leading alternative asset managers across, finance, M&A, restructuring and funds matters.

Brady’s practice focuses advising a broad array of direct lenders and private credit firms on complex finance transactions and credit arrangements, including financings that include multiple tranches of debt. He regularly structures and negotiates a wide range of financing facilities, such as mezzanine debt, second-lien loans, unitranche facilities, first-out/last-out and term "B" facilities, and holdco note purchases.
