Diversity Journal Names Melissa Schwartz, Emma Simmonds 'Women Worth Watching'

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump is pleased to share that, in its 21st annual Women Worth Watching Awards, Profiles in Diversity Journal honored partners Melissa Schwartz and Emma Simmonds as recipients—“outstanding examples of leaders who demonstrate talent, courage, persistence, commitment, and generosity of spirit.”
Ms. Schwartz is a D.C.-based corporate partner who also serves as firmwide professional development partner and as member of the firmwide Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council.
Ms. Simmonds is a London-based financial restructuring partner who also sits on the firmwide Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council and chairs the London office’s Diversity and Inclusion Council. She was also recently recognized among IFLR1000’s Women Leaders for 2022 (learn more here).
Honorees will be featured in the 2022 Women Worth Watching edition of Profiles in Diversity Journal, available for viewing online in August.
