Emma Simmonds Honored with Women, Influence & Power in Law UK Award

(London) – Akin Gump financial restructuring partner Emma Simmonds has been named “Outstanding winner” in the Collaborative Leadership category of the Women, Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) UK Awards 2021, presented by The American Lawyer.
The WIPL awards honor the top female lawyers “who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession this past year.” The Collaborative Leadership category recognizes those women “who stand out as working well with others, and who bring other women with them as they find success.”
Ms. Simmonds serves as a member of Akin Gump’s Diversity and Inclusion Council, chair of the Inclusion Counsel in the firm’s London office and as co-chair of the Women’s Firmwide Resource Group. The awards were presented virtually on March 10, during the same week as International Women’s Day.
