James Terry Honored by City Year UK with “Bridge Builder Award” for Exceptional Mentoring

(London) – Akin Gump is pleased to announce that financial restructuring partner James Terry has been honored by City Year UK with its 2017 Bridge Builder Award for his exceptional work as a mentor in City Year’s Bridge Builder program. Nominated for the recognition by the woman he mentored, Mr. Terry received his award at City Year UK’s London graduation ceremony.

Mr. Terry, along with three other lawyers from Akin Gump’s London office, served as mentors to City Year UK volunteers over the past year. Additionally, six London partners hosted an Interview Skills Day for a team of seven City Year volunteers, and the firm served as a sponsor at City Year UK’s annual Red Jacket fundraising gala dinner, among other ways in which the firm has supported City Year UK’s exemplary work.
