Nonpartisan Women Empowerment Organization “Running Start” Names Karen Goldmeier Green to Board

(Washington, D.C.) – Running Start, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to training young women to run for public office, has announced seven new additions to their board of directors. Among them is Karen Goldmeier Green, senior counsel in Akin Gump’s public law and policy practice.
Running Start focuses on “empowering young women to get involved in politics and transform our world, one elected female leader at a time.” The organization offers programs that equip young women with the hands on skills and confidence they need to run and win.
Ms. Green plays a key role in Akin Gump’s territorial practice and represents foreign governments, private companies, public corporations and nonprofit organizations before Congress. She is a longtime supporter of Running Start and their nonpartisan efforts to train more women to run for elected office.
