Tony Pierce Once Again Named Among Washington’s Most Influential

(Washington) — Washington Business Journal has recognized Akin Gump partner Anthony Pierce on its annual Power 100 list of the most influential local business leaders of the year. This is Mr. Pierce’s fifth such recognition.
In its profile, WBJ highlights Mr. Pierce, who serves as partner in charge of Akin Gump’s Washington, D.C. office—the area’s “largest [firm] for lobbying,” according to the publication—as “one of few African Americans” to hold the “market leader post.”
The publication also spotlights his “steady presence throughout the region,” noting his roles as past chairman of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, current general counsel of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. and board member of Greater Washington Partnership and Federal City Council.
