- Assists clients in matters involving government and internal investigations, securities enforcement, international anti-corruption laws, including the FCPA and U.K Bribery Act, corporate compliance, risk assessments and third-party due diligence.
Aleea's practice focuses primarily on white collar defense, securities enforcement, and government and internal investigations.
Aleea has experience with client operations in the technology, oil and gas, aerospace, and defense industries. She has conducted due diligence on joint ventures and acquisitions throughout the world. In addition, through a secondment to large multinational companies, Aleea provided general in-house legal advice and support on investigative missions and anti-corruption and compliance trainings.
Prior to joining Akin, Aleea was an attorney for another global law firm in Washington, D.C.
Aleea earned her J.D. from Howard University School of Law, where she was a John J. Gibbons Moot Court Competition semifinalist.
