Amama is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice. She represents both domestic and international clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including securities litigation matters and government investigations.
Prior to joining the firm, Amama was a litigation associate at another international law firm based in New York City. Prior to that, she was a judicial intern for Chief Judge Beryl Howell at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Amama earned her B.A. summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina. She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was the notes editor for The Georgetown Law Journal.
During law school, Amama was a member of the Women’s Legal Alliance, Criminal Law Association and South Asian Law Students Association. Amama also worked as a student attorney at Georgetown’s Civil Rights and Voting Rights clinic. As a student attorney, she conducted legislative research into National Popular Vote bills and drafted certiorari petitions and memoranda to the U.S. Supreme Court on cases involving 14th Amendment due process rights and equal protection.
