Anna’s practice focuses on complex corporate restructurings, including both in-court and out-of-court financial reorganizations. Anna’s experience includes representing debtors, secured creditors, ad hoc groups and other stakeholders in chapter 11 cases and cross-border insolvency proceedings.
Prior to joining Akin, Anna practiced restructuring law at another international law firm based in New York City.
Anna is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Travelport : Counsel to an ad hoc group of secured term loan lenders in an out-of-court recapitalization of Travelport Worldwide, a provider of distribution, technology and payment solutions for the travel and tourism industry.

Curo Group Holding Corp.: Counsel to the debtor, a leading consumer credit lender serving the U.S. and Canada, in its chapter 11 cases involving over $2.1 billion of debt.

West Marine: Counsel to an ad hoc group of second lien term loan lenders in connection with a restructuring and exchange of existing debt of West Marine, a leading retail chain of boating supply and fishing stores.

Lucky Bucks: Counsel to an ad hoc group of first lien lenders in connection with prepackaged chapter 11 cases of Lucky Bucks, one of the largest coin operated amusement machine route operators in Georgia.
- Alex Jones: Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors, on a pro bono basis, in the chapter 11 case of right-wing media personality Alex Jones, which was commenced following the entry of more than $1.5 billion in state court judgments against Jones and his company, Free Speech Systems, as a result of Jones’s defamatory comments regarding the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
- Avaya: Counsel to an ad hoc group of first lien lenders in negotiations related to the prepackaged chapter 11 cases of Avaya and its affiliates, a multinational cloud communications and collaboration services company, involving $4 billion in liabilities.
- Represented a pharmaceutical company in an out-of-court restructuring with extensive contingency chapter 11 preparation.
