- Counsels clients in the formation and operation of private investment vehicles.
Brian advises investment managers on a variety of regulatory, compliance and operational matters with a focus on investment managers in the private funds space and has experience assisting clients in navigating their regulatory compliance duties under the rules and regulations of the SEC.
Additionally, he counsels clients on the formation and operation of domestic and offshore private investment funds, including hedge, growth equity, credit, real estate and private equity funds.
Prior to joining Akin, Brian was a senior staff attorney in the private funds group of a large international law firm.
While studying at Georgetown University Law Center, Brian was a member and Senior Notes Editor of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review.
