Brooke has experience advising clients with all aspects of the development of large infrastructure projects, including pipeline projects, electric generation facilities, gas processing facilities and petrochemical facilities.
Additionally, she has experience drafting and negotiating operations and maintenance agreements, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, master services agreements, energy supply agreements and power purchase agreements.
Prior to joining Akin, Brooke was an attorney at another major global law firm. She has also clerked for the Honorable Robert Nichols of the Texas Senate Transportation Committee and for the Conroe Independent School District’s legal department.
- Advised a Texas-based full-service data center developer and software provider, on two commercial agreements to colocate flexible data center loads directly with operating wind farms in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) market.
- Represented a data center developer and owner in connection with a colocated power purchase agreement for behind-the-meter power in the ERCOT market.
- Assisted Forge Energy II Delaware LLC in its $540 million sale of certain Delaware Basin oil & gas assets to a partnership between Northern Oil and Gas Inc. (NYSE: NOG) and Vital Energy Inc.
- Represented various financial institutions in connection with their tax equity investments in wind, solar and battery storage projects across the United States.
- Represented a midstream company in the negotiation of complex transactions concerning the development of crude oil pipeline systems, Y-grade pipeline systems and purity product pipeline systems.
