Cam Peek represents clients in international trade and regulatory matters with a particular focus on sanctions, export controls and government investigations. He has experience in:
- Transactions involving the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS)
- U.S. sanctions programs administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
- Compliance with antiboycott regulations promulgated by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Office of Antiboycott Enforcement
Prior to joining Akin, Cam worked overseas in Japan as a project manager for the Xebio Group and the United Sports Foundation, playing a vital role in leading those organizations’ recovery efforts to support youth affected by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.
While in law school, Cam served as the trade editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law and was a member of the Georgetown Global Law Scholars Program. Cam is also certified in World Trade Organization (WTO) and International Trade Studies.
