Chris Egan leads a firm-wide team responsible for Risk Operations and Information Governance. The team analyzes new client matters and governs client information to ensure compliance with the following laws and regulations:
- Ethics rules requiring confidentiality and the enforcement of ethical walls
- Anti-money laundering regulations
- Data protection laws in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and other international jurisdictions
- Securities-related disclosure restrictions
- Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- Other laws governing retention and disclosure
Earlier in his career, Chris served as a trial attorney and eDiscovery counsel at the DOJ. Most recently, he served the DOJ as Director of Information Management, where he directed a group of information professionals responsible for records management, data analysis and web development.
Chris is a certified public accountant, a certified information privacy professional, and a certified records manager.
