Daniel focuses his practice primarily on the formation and operation of domestic and offshore private investment funds, including private equity funds, credit funds, real estate funds and hedge funds.
In addition to his work in the investment management practice at Akin, Daniel has worked as an Attorney-Advisor in the Chair’s Attorney Honors Program at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. While there, he worked in the Division of Investment Management and the Office of the General Counsel. Before working at the SEC, Daniel served as a law clerk for the Honorable Christopher J. Burke of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
Daniel received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif. He received his B.S., summa cum laude, in biological sciences from the University of Cincinnati.
