Biography
  • Practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts, including bankruptcy litigation arising from chapter 11 cases.

David is counsel in the restructuring litigation practice. He focuses primarily on litigation arising in and out of financial restructuring matters. He also has experience with respect to broad-based securities class action litigation, shareholder demands and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Akin, David was an associate at another leading global law firm based in New York City.

David maintains a strong pro bono practice, where his work focuses on prisoners’ rights litigation.

Representative Work
  • Represented debtors in In re PG&E Corporation, chapter 11 cases concerning Securities Act of 1933 and Securities Exchange Act of 1934 claims.
  • Represented debtors and wind down estates in In re Ditech Holding Corporation, chapter 11 cases concerning residential mortgage servicing and related matters.
  • Represented debtors in In re NPC International Inc., chapter 11 cases concerning Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) claims and related proceedings.
