Elizah Stein is an associate in the firm’s international trade practice advising clients in various international trade, enforcement and compliance issues related to U.S. export control and economic sanctions, as well as national security and space law matters.
She received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as executive editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law and as president of the J.B. Moore Society of International Law. Elizah performed pro bono research during law school for the Rutherford Institute and for Space Force legal scholars at the JAG School. Before law school, Elizah worked as a legislative assistant for Rep. Justin Amash (MI-03). She received a B.A. in history from Yale University, where she served as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Yale Political Union and as a research assistant in international security studies.
Elizah was a member of Akin’s 2023 summer associate class.
