Emily represents the world’s leading institutional investors, including some of the largest sovereign wealth funds and other government investors, in connection with their global investment activities. Emily advises on an array of matters, including investments in private funds, joint ventures, co-investment arrangements and other strategic transactions. With a deep understanding of the international alternative investment fund landscape, Emily helps clients navigate complex transactions with practical solutions.
Emily also advises private equity and hedge fund sponsors in multiple jurisdictions on all aspects of their business, from the inception phase to ongoing management company operations, including fund formation, fundraising and ongoing compliance and operational issues.
Prior to joining Akin, Emily spent time in Dublin, Ireland advising global alternative investment fund managers on their fund formation and fundraising activities across Europe. Emily began her career advising fund sponsors based out of the New York office of another leading international law firm.
