Biography
- Practice concentrates on restructuring litigation, complex commercial litigation and government investigations for public and private companies and investment funds.
Erin Parlar primarily focuses his practice on litigation. Erin’s practice extends to a number of areas, including:

Before joining Akin, Erin was an associate in the litigation department of a large Manhattan law firm.
Representative Work
- Represented the official committee of unsecured creditors of company in maximizing value of creditor recovery through investigation of estate claims, including fraudulent transfer, breach of fiduciary duty and preference claims.
- Managed an internal investigation of a multinational bank into its employees’ personal device usage in compliance with federal regulations.
- Supported a multinational bank client in responding to subpoena regarding the bank’s trading practices and compliance with its fair pricing and execution obligations.
- Represented a fund client in complex commercial litigation proceeding in New York state court regarding loan and exclusivity agreements.
- Advised company debtholders in connection with liability management transactions proposed by company.
