- Advises companies and private equity funds on special situations and a variety of complex corporate transactions.
- Assists clients on corporate governance matters.
- Represents private and public companies in connection with general corporate and capital markets transactions.
Frankie represents private equity and debt funds, as well as private and public companies, in a wide range of transactional special situations matters, including strategic equity and debt investments, general securities and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) transactions, and distressed transactions and restructurings in and outside of bankruptcy.
Frankie has significant experience representing investment funds and companies in special situations and other complex business transactions. He has a particular focus on negotiating, structuring and managing corporate transactions on behalf of private equity and special situations funds. Frankie also represents post-restructured companies in a wide range of corporate matters. In addition, his experience includes special committee advisory work, including the representation of special committees and conflicts committees in connection with various dropdown acquisitions.
Prior to joining Akin in 2021, Frankie was an attorney at another major global law firm. He has also served as a law clerk for U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
