Biography
  • Advises clients on a range of corporate and debt finance matters.

Ji Young “Grace” is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice. She represents direct lenders, institutional lenders, corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors in a variety of financing transactions, including leveraged acquisition financings, cross-border deals and other secured and unsecured commercial financings. Grace also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on asylum matters.

Prior to joining Akin, Grace was an associate at another global law firm in New York City.

Grace received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she worked as a student attorney at the Juvenile Justice Clinic. In addition, she was honored with the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award and the Elmer (Galbi) Galbiati Advocacy Award and served as senior online editor on the senior board of The Georgetown Law Journal. Grace received her B.A. cum laude in international studies from Boston College.
