Biography
Henry is an associate in the corporate finance practice in London.
Henry advises both corporate and financial institutions across the full spectrum of financing products, including:
- Syndicated and direct lending
- Investment grade and leveraged finance
- Acquisition finance
- Capital markets
He advises on complex cross-border financings, with experience of both borrower and lender side work.
Prior to joining Akin, Henry completed a nine-month secondment at a leading pan-European alternative asset manager, specialising in private credit and real estate.
Representative Work
- Advised a global online fashion platform on:
- the initial refinancing of its revolving credit facility with new facilities provided by a specialist alternative lender; and
- the subsequent amendment and extension of those new facilities, strengthening the company’s capital structure in alignment with the company’s strategic financial goals.
- Advised a UK alternative asset management company on various matters, including:
- its transformational acquisition of the parent company of its investment manager; and
- the refinancing of its net asset value (NAV)-based credit facilities.
- Advised the fourth largest chemical company globally in connection with the financing of the acquisition of 50% of the shares in a China-based petrochemical company.
- Advised a payment services provider on matters relating to their high-yield bonds, HoldCo and senior secured financing.
- Advised an alternative asset manager on various matters, including in connection with a number of its equity and debt investments into UK and European real-estate investment businesses.
- Advised a Dutch-retailer on the new money aspects of its debt restructuring, including the injection of additional liquidity via new private placement notes.
