Biography
  • Member of the firm’s government contracts group where she focuses on regulatory compliance.
  • Handles complex commercial litigation matters and advises clients facing government investigations.

Hillary is an associate in the firm’s government contracts group where she assists clients with various commercial litigation matters, including government investigations, white collar defense and internal investigations. She also advises clients on complying with government contracting regulations and international trade laws. She maintains an active pro bono practice.

Prior to joining Akin, she served as a judicial law clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. Before law school, she served as a physics teacher for Teach for America.

Hillary received her J.D. magna cum laude from University of Michigan Law School, where she served as an editor of the Michigan Law Review. She earned a B.S. in neuroscience from Brigham Young University.

Hillary was a Pro Bono Scholar in Akin’s 2018 summer associate class and a summer associate.
