Jennifer is a partner in the corporate practice based in the firm’s Abu Dhabi office. She has wide-ranging experience in advising government entities, sponsors, financial institutions, corporate and creditor clients on project finance transactions across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the wider Middle East region.
Recognized as one of the leading female project finance partners in the UAE and Riyadh, she specializes in energy and infrastructure financing, with a strong focus on renewable energy.
Jennifer has been instrumental in delivering award-winning projects in the Middle East, particularly those transactions involving asset-backed finance and export credit agency (ECA) finance structures.
- Representation of Sweihan PV Power Company PJSC, the owner and operator of the Noor Abu Dhabi solar PV plant, in connection with the refinancing in full of the Noor Abu Dhabi project through the issuance of US$700.8 million 3.625% green senior secured green bonds. This deal was recognised as “Structured Bond Deal of the Year” by Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Middle East Awards 2023 and “Renewable Energy Refinancing Deal of The Year” by The Asset Triple A Sustainable Infrastructure Awards
- Representation of nine regional and local lenders in connection with the SAR6.1 billion Islamic project financing of Advanced Polyolefins Industry Company's new petrochemicals complex located in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. This deal was recognised as “Petrochemicals Deal of the Year” by IJ Global 2022 and “Project Finance Loan Deal of the Year” by Capital Markets & ESG Finance Saudi Arabia Awards 2023.
- Representation of Red Sea Global, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PIF, on the financing of Phase One of The Red Sea Project. This deal was recognised as "Project Finance Deal of the Year" by Capital Markets Saudi Arabia Awards 2021.
- Representation of EWEC in connection with the PV2 IPP involving the development of a 2GW solar project, the largest single-site solar project in the world, together with a grid station and associated facilities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE. This deal was recognised as “Middle East Solar Deal of the Year” by Project Finance International 2020 and “MENA Renewables Deal of the Year” by IJ Global
- Representation of EWEC in connection with the development of the US$1.14 billion Fujairah F3 power generation plant having a net capacity of 2400MW together with a grid station and associated facilities. This deal was recognised as “Middle East Power Deal of the Year” by Project Finance International 2020 and “MENA Power Deal of the Year” by IJ Global
- Representation of the sponsors with respect to the $1.3 billion refinancing of the Al Dur 1 IWPP in Bahrain. This deal was recognized as “Middle East Refinancing of the Year” by Project Finance International 2018.
- Representation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Islamic Development Bank and Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector on a portfolio of six separate 50 megawatt (MW) solar independent power producer (IPP) projects to be undertaken by Scatec Solar in Egypt under the FIT Programme in Ben Ban and Zaafrana. These deals were recognized as “Transaction of the Year” by Islamic Finance News 2017 and “Multilateral Deal of the Year” by Project Finance International 2017.
- Representation of the sponsors in connection with the development and financing of the 250 MW Gulf of Suez Wind Farm Project in Egypt. This deal was recognized as “Wind Deal of the Year” by IJGlobal 2017.
- Representation of KEPCO in connection with the development and financing of the 89.1 MW Fujeij Wind IPP in Jordan. This deal was recognized as “Renewables Deal of the Year” by IJGlobal 2016.
