John Callahan represents U.S. and non-U.S. clients in commercial and regulatory international trade matters. His practice focuses on export controls, compliance and sanctions. His clients include major defense contractors, private investment firms and sovereign wealth funds.
Prior to law school, John served as an international trade policy specialist at Akin, where he focused on trade remedy litigation, free trade agreement negotiations and World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlements.
While in law school, John was the president of the William & Mary Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and an officer in W&M’s International Law Society.
