JD is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice, where he assists clients on a variety of complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, JD was a student attorney in the Georgetown Law Criminal Justice Clinic, where he represented misdemeanor clients in District of Columbia Superior Court proceedings such as arraignments and status hearings. JD also served as a law clerk for the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Insurance Fraud Division.
JD earned his J.D. in 2022 from the Georgetown University Law Center, graduating cum laude. During his time in law school, JD served as staff editor for the American Criminal Law Review and senior annual survey editor for the Annual Survey of White Collar Crime. He was also a member of the Georgetown Criminal Law Association and did pro bono work with the Criminal Justice Clinic. JD completed his B.A. in political science at the University of Wyoming, where he graduated magna cum laude.
JD was also a member of Akin’s 2021 summer associate class.
