John is an associate in the firm's corporate practice. He assists public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance and general corporate matters.

John participated in Akin’s summer associate program in 2022 and 2023.

John received his J.D. cum laude from The University of Houston Law Center, where he served as events editor for the Houston Business & Tax Law Journal.

Prior to law school, John worked as a systems implementation analyst for a private consulting firm. As an analyst, John assisted several exploration and production (E&P) companies with their systems implementation, systems optimization and acquisition data integration needs.
