Kaitlyn Marasi assists clients in antitrust mergers and acquisitions, counseling, litigation and government investigations. She represents clients in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, banking, finance, retail and technology.
Prior to joining Akin, she was an antitrust associate at a global law firm in Washington, D.C. Kaitlyn maintains an active pro bono practice, including previous legal work on class action litigation involving detainee civil rights matters and a federal habeas corpus appeal.
She earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she served as the senior notes editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and as an associate on the Legal Information Institute Supreme Court Bulletin. During law school, she was a legal intern for the Labor Law Clinic and Gender Justice Clinic. She was also an academic chair of the Women’s Law Coalition. She is a current board member of the Cornell Law Women’s Alliance. She received a B.A. from Smith College in government and cultural anthropology.
