Karen is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice, where she focuses on assisting clients in a variety of litigation matters. She also maintains an active pro bono practice.
Karen was previously a summer associate at Akin. Prior to that, she worked as a student attorney at the Texas Law Immigration Clinic and Parole Project. Her experience includes assisting clients on various aspects of asylum law, both affirmative asylum and defensive asylum.
Karen earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and served as an editor for the Texas Law Review.
