Keegan is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice, where he advises clients on a range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions.
Keegan earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as comments editor for the North Carolina Law Review. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Joe L. Webster of the Middle District of North Carolina and a judicial intern for the Honorable Joseph M. Buckner of the North Carolina District Court 15B.
Keegan earned a Masters in Public Policy from Duke University and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Earlier in his career, he served as a mathematics teacher for Teach for America and as a sales representative for Oracle Corporation.
Keegan was a member of Akin’s 2022 summer associate class and a 2021 Pro Bono Scholar.
