Kevin Eide represents official and unofficial creditors’ committees, noteholders, lenders, debtors, liquidating trusts and other parties in interest in large, complex cases. He has represented clients in a number of industries, including energy, shipping, healthcare and media and entertainment.
While in law school, Kevin served as a judicial extern to the Honorable William Wayne Justice of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
- SVB: Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 case of SVB Financial Group, the former parent company of Silicon Valley Bank, involving more than $3.4 billion in liabilities.
- Casa Systems: Counsel to an ad hoc group of lenders in the chapter 11 cases of Casa Systems, a telecommunications solutions company, involving approximately $200 million of liabilities.
- Crédito Real: Counsel to an ad hoc group of unsecured noteholders and lenders in the restructuring of Crédito Real and its affiliates, a Mexican nonbank financial institution, involving more than $2 billion in liabilities.
- Limetree Bay Refining: Counsel to an ad hoc term lender group in the chapter 11 cases of Limetree Bay Refining and its affiliates, a U.S. Virgin Islands-based oil refinery, involving approximately $1 billion in liabilities. Section 363 Sale of the Year $50MM to $100MM (M&A Advisor)
- Just Energy: Counsel to the prepetition lenders and DIP lenders in the CCAA and chapter 15 cases of Just Energy and its affiliates, a leading North American distributor of electricity & natural gas, involving more than $440 million in liabilities.
- Pacific Drilling S.A.: Counsel to an ad hoc group of secured noteholders in the second chapter 11 cases of Pacific Drilling and its affiliates, an offshore ultra-deepwater drilling company, involving $1.1 billion in liabilities. Energy Deal of the Year (The M&A Advisor)
