Kirk Anderson focuses his practice on representing fund sponsors in the formation, structuring and operation of investment funds, including:
- Drafting governing fund documents and fund subscription materials.
- Counseling on regulatory and compliance issues under U.S. and international securities laws related to asset managers and the private placement of securities.
- Reviewing, revising and drafting fund offering materials.
- Preparing investor side letters.
- Advising on fund structures.
- Counseling regarding upper-tier fund matters and carry issues.
Prior to joining Akin, Kirk served as in-house counsel at Dimensional Fund Advisors, specializing in fund investments and global regulatory compliance. Kirk also has extensive experience representing registered investment funds and their independent board members.
