Kyle Everett represents clients in antitrust matters including mergers and acquisitions, private enforcement actions, civil litigation, investigations by the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and state regulators. He also advises clients in antitrust counseling matters.
Kyle has represented clients from a diverse range of industries including healthcare, energy, sports, aviation, technology, banking, retail, and pharmaceuticals. In his pro bono practice, Kyle has represented survivors of human trafficking and asylum seekers.
Prior to joining Akin, Kyle was an associate in the antitrust practice of a boutique law firm, and, previously, an associate at a global law firm. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and his B.A. in political science from the Ohio State University.
- Represented Exxon Mobil in its $64.5 billion merger with Pioneer Natural Resources.
- Represented Fox Corporation and United States Football League (USFL) in the merger of USFL and the XFL.
- Represented Express Scripts Corporation in connection with FTC’s 6(b) study of pharmacy benefit managers.
- Defended Cigna against antitrust claims in State of Ohio v. Ascent Health Services, et al.
- Defended pharmaceutical company against antitrust claims by private litigants.
