Kyle Hogan focuses on corporate, securities and partnership law with a particular emphasis on investment fund matters. He advises institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, family offices and others in connection with their investments.
Kyle also represents fund sponsors in connection with fund launches and capital raising, seed capital arrangements, manager transactions (including minority stake sales and restructurings) and partnership arrangements among principals.
Kyle has extensive experience across alternative asset classes – including private equity, venture capital, credit, real estate, infrastructure and a wide variety of liquid strategies – and through every stage of the investment lifecycle. He has assisted clients on all aspects of their business, from capital raising and fund formation to complex transactions that support their investment and other business strategies. A skillful problem-solver, Kyle enjoys advising clients on novel transactions and structures.
Prior to rejoining Akin, Kyle founded and led a software company in the alternative investment space that was acquired by a leading technology provider. Kyle leverages his entrepreneurial background to provide innovative, business-oriented solutions to his clients.
