Matt Rountree advises renewable and conventional energy clients in connection with commodity trading and hedging, debt finance, and mergers and acquisitions. He negotiates and assists clients with agreements such as power purchase agreements, schedules and annexes under International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Master Agreements, credit agreements, purchase and sale agreements, membership interests purchase agreements, and North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) agreements for the purchase and sale of natural gas.
Matt has also represented clients in the manufacturing, technology, and maritime sectors.
Prior to law school, he worked in the power industry in several commercial roles with respect to asset management, quantitative analysis, and power trading within the ERCOT market.
