Matthew George Hartman focuses on a variety of patent litigation matters, with an emphasis on biological and chemical technologies. Specifically, he represents clients in patent infringement cases involving antibody and pharmaceutical therapeutics. 

Dr. Hartman earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2010, where he was a Merck Patent Fellow, a member of the Intellectual Property Society and a judicial intern to The Honorable Thomas N. O’Neill Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Prior to law school, Dr. Hartman earned his Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology from The Ohio State University and his B.S. degree in molecular biology from the University of Maryland. Dr. Hartman worked for two years as a postdoctoral research fellow at Fox Chase Cancer Center. His graduate thesis work focused on understanding the mechanisms of insulin-producing cell death during the pathogenesis of type I and type II diabetes. His postdoctoral scientific work explored the mechanism of immune T-cell death in mice deficient of a ribosomal protein subunit.
