Matthew is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice. He handles complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts.
Matthew has used his strengths as a writer and legal researcher to advocate for some of the nation's largest companies in regulatory challenges, partnership disputes and breach of contract actions. Matthew has also represented shareholder groups, bankruptcy trustees, unsecured creditors' committees and institutional lenders in complex financial litigation involving fraudulent transfers, director & officer (D&O) liability and fraud.
Matthew began his career clerking for the Honorable Elizabeth L. Branch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the Honorable Drew B. Tipton of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Matthew graduated with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as an articles editor for the Georgia Law Review and president of the student chapter of the Federalist Society.
