Nia is an associate in the intellectual property practice, where she advises clients on patent litigation matters.
During law school, Nia was a member of the Women’s Law Forum, the Health Law Forum, the Intellectual Property Law Association and the Cybersecurity & Privacy Society, as well as working as a legal intern at a large pharmaceutical company.
Prior to attending law school, Nia worked as a bioinformatics research assistant at Boston Children's Hospital, where she provided research assistance and analyzed data for several post-doctoral students on different immunology projects by utilizing bioinformatics software and databases, co-authored multiple immunology articles and developed new bioinformatics programs to analyze next generation sequencing genome data.
Nia received her B.A. in biology, computer science and philosophy from Franklin and Marshall College.
Nia was a member of Akin’s 2022 summer associate class.
