Biography
- Paolo represents private equity and investment management clients on their private funds activity.
- He represents clients on private fundraisings and secondaries transactions across a range of sectors and asset classes.
Paolo Caretta Cortegiani is an associate in the investment management practice of Akin’s London office.
He advises investment management clients on a broad range of matters, including the formation and operation of private funds. He has advised various global fund managers on multijurisdictional matters.
Prior to joining Akin, Paolo has worked for two leading international law firms in Madrid, Spain.
Representative Work
- Advised a client on the raising of its third flagship fund, which reached over €1.5 billion at first close, which was the time the largest Spanish private equity fund.
- Advised a leading Spanish private equity house on a number of substantial secondary transactions involving portfolios and containing direct and indirect interests.
- Regularly advises sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors on their primary investments and co-investments.
