Priya is an associate in the corporate finance team in London. She has experience advising financial institutions, investors and companies on a wide variety of U.K. and cross-border restructurings and financings including special situations, leveraged finance, structured finance, fund finance and general corporate lending, in the real estate, oil and gas, offshore shipping, insurance, retail and financial services sectors.
Prior to joining the firm, Priya trained and qualified in the London office of another U.S. law firm and completed a secondment in Hong Kong with yet another U.S. law firm based out of London.
- Advised an Asian investment holding company in $1+ billion restructuring of offshore debt.
- Advised a private equity investment firm on the restructuring, acquisition and post restructuring of a major international oil and gas service provider.
- Advised the security agent in the post bond restructuring of one of the U.K.’s leading producers and distributors of seafood, involving a distribution of the principal bond amount of EUR 200 million with payment-in-kind (PIK) interests.
- Advised a leading property developer in Asia in its proposed restructuring of $4 billion of offshore debt via schemes of arrangement.
- Assisted the team working on the restructuring of an Asian property developer’s $270 billion onshore and offshore debt.
- Assisted with the development and implementation of a novel company voluntary arrangement (CVA) for a property investment group in connection with a complex restructuring of a car parking investment scheme, which included the re-organization and administration of several group companies and acting for the administrators on various ancillary and corporate matters.
