Raza’s practice focuses on all aspects of international trade regulatory compliance, including economic and trade sanctions, export controls, customs, anti-bribery and anti-corruption matters.

His work spans multiple jurisdictions and encompasses advising on risks in the context of international transactions, conducting internal investigations, preparing voluntary disclosures and engaging with regulators.

He has experience in several industry sectors, principally energy, technology, aviation, shipping, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, financial services and private equity.

Prior to joining Akin, Raza trained and worked at a leading law firm and focused heavily on international disputes and investigations.
